Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a GIS Mapper in Lawrence Township, NJ, to join the WECTEC Staffing Services team. The 12-month assignment reports to the GIS Supervisor and involves maintaining an integrated GIS model with data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities include data analysis, creating reports and maps, generating prints for field requests, and supporting major projects such as facility relocations. Valid NJ driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of GIS experience (school or work-related).
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license to operate motor vehicles in New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the GIS connected model with information from multiple sources.
• Analyze and query data to assemble reports, charts and maps from asset information.
• Produce standard prints and ad-hoc plots for field requests with information from the model.
• Maintain service point data and the relationship to feeding source transformer.
• Track lifespan of utility asset data, including history, inspection and attachments.
• Resolve conflicting data, mapping, connectivity, and land issues through office or field investigation.
• Perform GIS work on major projects such as facility relocations, load rearrangement and new business.
