Job summary

BGE, Inc. is seeking a Geospatial Intern in Austin, TX to gain hands-on experience in geographic information systems and environmental planning.

You will be mentored by experienced engineers, attend events and training, and contribute to real projects while balancing coursework. The role requires currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geoscience, Environmental Science, or a related field, strong English communication, teamwork, and a willingness to work in the office full-time (40

Qualifications

Must be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geoscience, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Strong proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn industry-specific software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong collaborator who works well on a team.
Willingness and ability to work in the office 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Work on a team while learning and being mentored by BGE employees.
Attend specific events and training geared toward career development; interns will participate in intern-specific activities in addition to normal work activities.
