Lorvenk Technologies is seeking a seasoned GIS developer to design, build, and deliver advanced web GIS applications, leveraging ESRI tools and Python. You will work on complex analyses and multi-layer maps, communicating findings to stakeholders.

The role requires 4–8 years in GIS and 5+ years in web app delivery, with strong problem-solving and independent work capability in a fast-paced environment in the Richmond area.

Qualifikationen

• BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, CS or related field with GIS experience.
• 4-8 years of GIS and GIS application development experience.
• Minimum 5 years designing, building, and delivering web applications.
• Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must have experience in development of complex analysis and mapping projects.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users, both orally and in writing.
• Competence in ESRI GIS software suite (Arc 10.x, ArcGIS Pro 2.x+), ArcSDE and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Self-starter with a technical background in software and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Python.

BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or other related field with/ GIS experience.

4-8 years of experience in GIS and GIS application development.

A minimum of 5 years of experience designing, building, and delivering web applications

Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication, design, development, and debugging skills

Must have experience in the development of complex analysis and mapping projects.

Must have the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical computer users, both orally and in writing.

Candidates shall demonstrate high competence in ESRI GIS software suite (Arc 10. X, ArcGIS Pro 2.x and higher) including, but not limited to, a thorough knowledge of ArcSDE and ArcGIS Enterprise (server, portal, web adaptors, data stores).

Must work independently to develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and develop multi-layered maps by using an appropriate combination of tools in the GIS application suite and other programming environments.

Self-starter with a technical background in software and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Candidate should have Proficiency in Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and demonstrated proficiency in data extraction, analysis, and scripting tools, preferably Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Prior experience with LRS and working knowledge and experience with ESRI Roads & Highways or other similar systems is a plus
• Develop and maintain linear referencing systems (LRS) and GIS applications to support spatial data management needs.
• Experience in Reporting Tools such as Power BI is strongly desired.
