This includes performing map editing and routine spatial data upkeep; developing and maintaining GIS/FIS data management protocols aligned with TTG standards; administering and updating related spatial databases; troubleshooting GIS platform and data issues; and performing consistent QA/QC to ensure accurate, timely, and decision‑ready information. The Analyst delivers both recurring and ad‑hoc GIS outputs, including mapping, data conversion, spatial analysis, and reporting products that support operational planning, compliance needs, and management‑level visibility.

The Analyst also serves as a technical resource for internal and external stakeholders by providing GIS expertise, support, and guidance to field staff, real estate, Oil & Gas, other departments, and contractors. This includes supporting acquisition due diligence through data compilation, spatial review, and documentation; onboarding new properties into TTG systems; and helping ensure datasets, map products, and workflows are consistent and audit‑ready. In addition, the role supports forest certification efforts by assisting with spatial evidence, mapping deliverables, and data integrity practices needed for compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform map editing and ensure data upkeep in both Forest Information Systems (FIS) and GIS platforms.
  • Develop and maintain GIS data management protocols aligned with TTG standards.
  • Support and update Forest Information Systems (FIS) to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Provide GIS expertise, technical support, and guidance to field staff, real‑estate, Oil & Gas, and other departments and contractors.
  • Collaborate with managers and foresters to identify GIS needs and recommend best practices.
  • Perform GIS editing, analysis, and data maintenance; update spatial databases and FIS.
  • Produce and maintain maps, plans, and spatial data; support acquisition due diligence and onboarding into FIS.
  • Participate in forest certification audits and ensure compliance.
  • Troubleshoot GIS platform issues and perform quality control checks.
  • Coordinate and maintain contracts up‑to‑date in the FIS system.
  • Deliver daily GIS tasks: planned and ad‑hoc mapping, data conversion, analysis, and reporting.
