As a GIS Field Technician, you’ll help municipalities see their communities in a whole new way-mapping infrastructure people rely on every day, from sidewalks and curb ramps to streets and stormwater utilities.

At BETA, we bring GIS, engineering, planning, and environmental science together to help towns and cities better understand the places they serve. • Assist with the collection of field data and perform asset inspections
  • Perform field measurements including but not limited to roadway, sidewalks, curb ramps, and other municipal infrastructure within the Right of Way
  • Take ownership of daily field operations, including planning, coordinating, and executing data collection to meet project goals
  • Edit and validate the collected data under the guidance of the project manager
  • Help build and maintain geographic databases, tables, forms, and reports that bring municipal data to life
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, planners, and other staff to ensure project deliverables meet high-quality standards
  • Use cutting-edge technology like tablets, GPS devices, and GIS software to capture, manage, and analyze data efficiently
