Job summary

The U.S. Army is seeking a GIS Data Manager/DBA to oversee the GIS enterprise for APG, ALC, and BPRF. You will serve as SME and program administrator for the GIS database, manage data layers, and support cloud-based and stand-alone systems.

You will develop GIS procedures, assist with division workflows, and coordinate contracts to develop, populate, and maintain GIS data. Requires security clearance eligibility and occasional TDY travel.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
• Collecting attribute data and entering data into GIS, assimilating new data holdings by digitizing/scanning existing drawings, aerial photographs and maps and using GPS.
• Specialized experience in converting GIS data to CAD, PDF and other formats and ensuring GIS layers sync with the RPUID real property records.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the data manager and DBA for the GIS for APG, ALC, and BPRF.
• Act as the garrison SME and program administrator for the GIS enterprise database.
• Assist customers in development of new GIS data layers.
• Prepare and manage contracts to develop, populate, and maintain the GIS database.
• Provide customer support for the implementation of cloud-based systems as well as stand-alone CPUs.
• Develop GIS procedures, plans and assist with developing division processes and workflows.
