Job summary

GIS Architect role in Dallas, TX for a 6-month contract to design and support enterprise GIS architecture.

Responsibilities include defining architecture for spatial databases, GIS servers, networking, storage, and integrations, and implementing automation with Python, JavaScript, REST APIs.

You will work with stakeholders across IT and business, ensuring security, DR/BCP, and alignment with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise GIS architecture.
• Expertise with spatial databases and RDBMS technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS).
• Experience with GIS servers, networking, storage and infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, REST APIs for scripting/automation.
• Understanding security architecture, governance, and enterprise security frameworks.
• Experience with DR and BCP planning.
• Experience with Agile and SDLC processes.
