Position Description: If you are ready to change the world and protect the protectors, the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) currently has an IMMEDIATE opportunity for TWO GIS Analysts to work in the IAFF Fire & EMS Operations Department. This is a non-exempt, full-time position (32.5-hour work week) with office assignment at the Headquarters of the International Association of Fire Fighters in Washington D.C. Starting salary is $87K rising to 97K within 1.5 years. Benefits include health insurance for employee and dependents, vacation and sick leave, flexible schedule, hybrid work up to two days per week, tuition reimbursement, 401k match, pension, and more. Position Summary:
Evaluates emergency response systems using Geographic Information System (GIS) and data analysis based on industry standards and SME references. Uses technical writing expertise to write reports that improve firefighter working conditions by promoting appropriate staffing and deployment of fire-based all-hazards response systems.
