Job summary

The GIS Administrator for the State of Indiana supports the Indiana National Guard by creating, modifying, and maintaining GIS data layers, and by developing maps. This role serves as a technical expert for GIS development and database administration across projects within the unit.

Positioned within the Plans and Programs Office of the Construction Facilities Maintenance Office, the role includes system design, application development, technical support, and mentoring of staff.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a similar GIS role.
• Advanced knowledge of information systems design principles and software languages.
• Ability to perform problem solving and analytical analysis.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
