Job summary

The City of Meridian seeks an Addressing Technician to assign addresses for new subdivisions and buildings, update the MEAD GIS database, and ensure alignment with state and city addressing standards.

You will work with Ada County agencies, perform plan reviews for water and sewer assessments, and provide addressing information to developers, utilities, and residents using ESRI ArcGIS/ArcPro.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented with strong public relations skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Requires GIS proficiency including ArcGIS and ArcPro.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate meetings, prepare staff reports, testify at meetings, and make recommendations on street name and addressing changes.
• Collaborate with Ada County agencies and Meridian departments to correct addressing issues.
• Review subdivision plats, evaluate street alignments, and propose street name changes.
• Conduct GIS data analysis, provide addressing information to agencies and the public.
• Perform spatial analytics in ArcGIS and create simple maps for public release.
