Job summary

Philomath High School seeks a dedicated wrestling coach to lead and develop the program. You will teach techniques, recruit and supervise assistant coaches, and foster leadership in student-athletes. Responsibilities include safety, scheduling, facility upkeep, and preparing for state competition.

You will also manage budget, order equipment, and oversee fundraising while serving as a positive role model for students.

Qualifications

• Wrestling coaching experience required.
• Knowledge of wrestling and playing experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with high school students effectively.
• Ability to collaborate with parents, Booster Club and fundraising activities.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• NFHS certification is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and driving clearance are required.
• Knowledge of OSAA rules and regulations.
• Fingerprint-based criminal history background check must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a practice schedule for the season.
• Coordinate upkeep for Wrestling facilities and equipment.

• Organize appropriate awards for Sports Awards Night.
• Prepare and submit yearly budget and order equipment.
• Complete paperwork for inventory, budgeting and records.
• Supervise fundraising activities before and during the school year.
• Be a positive role model for students.

• Understanding of OSAA rules & regulations
• Ability to communicate and work well with high school students

• Mini bus/van driving clearance and valid driver's license
• Must complete a fingerprint-based Criminal History Background Check.

Duties:

• Prepare and submit yearly budget and order necessary equipment
• Complete necessary paperwork for inventory, budgeting, records, etc.
• Supervise fundraising activities before and during the school year
• Be a positive role model

Salary:

• Based on experience, FTE and placement on the Licensed Co-Curricular salary schedule.
