Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking an Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach to lead and support a high school program. You will implement drills, supervise student‑athletes, and work with the Head Coach to build skills and teamwork while ensuring safety.

The role requires a high-school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification, and background clearance, with some evenings/weekends required. Must be at least 18, and the stipend-based position carries no benefits.

Qualifications

• Job-related experience is required.
• High-school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the opposition’s strategies and develop game plans.
• Assess student athletes and provide performance feedback.
• Attend meetings and convey information related to the role.
• Develop game strategies with the Head Coach for competition.
• Evaluate facilities and reduce injury risk with recommendations.
• Instruct athletes to promote growth in skills and teamwork.
• Maintain records of stats, forms, schedules, and equipment.
• Monitor academic eligibility and provide tutoring or counseling as needed.
• Promote athletic programs and respond to inquiries from stakeholders.
• Supervise athletes during all participation activities to minimize risk.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and support staff.
