Position Summary

The Varsity Volleyball coach is responsible for running the Varsity Girls Volleyball Team, developing players, conducting practices, coaching effective gameplay, and overseeing the spiritual formation of the young women entrusted to his/her care. The coach must interpret and contextualize both good and bad volleyball experiences, pray at practices and games, and direct all efforts for the glory of God.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Attend all volleyball practices and games of the varsity team.
• Ensure quality volleyball instruction by preparing for practices and games and executing a well‑run game plan.
• Serve as a good role model for the girls, embodying Christian charity and dignity.
• Send well‑written communications to the team at least once per week regarding upcoming practices and games.
• Attend the Fall coaches meeting.

Qualifications

• Significant volleyball experience.
• Demonstrable love for the game of volleyball.
• Practicing Catholic whose public life is lived in conformity with the moral teachings of the Church.
• Desire to evangelize and spiritually form students.
• Commitment to the Catholic mission of the Academy and willingness to sign the "Faculty Memorandum of Understanding" and swear the "Oath of Fidelity" to the Catholic faith.
