Plain Local School District Athletic Office in Canton, Ohio is seeking a part-time Coach-First Assistant for Girls Track (MS). The role supports the Head Coach, directs an assigned area of the program, and assists in conducting the athletic program for that sport and the total program.

Starting date is immediate. Attends meetings, covers scouting trips, and helps with equipment checks and adherence to athletic department policies.

Responsibilities

Assumes the responsibilities as head Coach in the absence of the Head Coach.
Directs and assumes responsibility for the area of the program assigned by the Head Coach
Supports the Head Coach in conducting the athletic program of that particular sport and the total athletic program.
Is loyal to the coach and to the team. A First Assistant Coach generally must give up some of his/her own thoughts to conform to the overall pattern as set forth by the Head Coach.
Assists the head Coach in a manner which will be most beneficial to the entire program.
Assumes the responsibility for the development and guidance of a specific team within the total program as assigned by the Head Coach.
Attends all meetings requested by the Athletic administrator or Head Coach.
Covers scouting trips requested by the Head Coach.
Assists the Head Coach in checking in all equipment at the end of the season.
Abides by the Athletic Department policies and operating procedures
Performs other coaching-related duties as directed by the Head Coach, Athletic Administrator or Principal.
