Job summary

Mt. Hope High School in Bristol, Rhode Island seeks an assistant coach for the girls lacrosse program for the Spring 2026-27 season. The role supports the head coach and coordinates aspects of practices, contests and student-athlete development.

Experience with secondary school level coaching is preferred; necessary coaching certifications must be current, including NFHS, CPR/First Aid, and concussion training, with ongoing recertification.

Qualifications

• Rhode Island Certificate for Athletic Coach (NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses) and current Red Cross certification(s) in CPR and First Aid required, with annual recertification for NFHS Concussion course.
• At least 2 years of relevant coaching experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach for the girls lacrosse program and support administration, budgeting and scheduling as needed.
• Promote and coordinate the interscholastic lacrosse program and ensure proper team management and certification.
