Job summary

Marple Newtown High School seeks coaches to supervise and promote all phases of the PIAA program for the 2027 spring season. You will teach sport skills, team strategy and sportsmanship, plan conditioning, and work with the athletic director and faculty manager to support student-athletes.

The role requires a high school diploma (coaching preferred) and demonstrated leadership, communication, and the ability to connect with high school students.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma/GED and Coaching preferred.
• Coaching experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach techniques, rules, strategies and playing tactics.
• Teach sportsmanship, cooperation and responsibility to team members.
• Conduct pre-season and post-season conditioning as applicable.
• Supervise safe practices and contests.
• Assess talents and abilities of team members.
• Promote athletes to college recruiters and participate in recruitment.
