NorthPointe Christian competes in sub-varsity sports as a member of the OK Conference, Silver Division. Sub-varsity sports are an integral part of the athletic program, designed to prepare athletes for varsity competition.
This level is typically intended for 9th- and 10th-grade athletes.
The purpose of sub-varsity teams is to introduce and develop sport-specific skills while preparing athletes for the varsity level. These teams also provide opportunities for athletes to learn the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and the Christian character expected of NorthPointe Christian athletes.
At the sub-varsity level, wins and losses are not the primary focus. Instead, emphasis is placed on individual and team improvement, sportsmanship, skill development, and preparation for varsity competition.
Full participation in practices is expected. Participation in competitions is highly encouraged but is not guaranteed and is determined at the coach’s discretion, with guidance from the varsity head coach.
