Columbia Public Schools in Columbia, Missouri invites applications for the Assistant Coach – Girls Basketball at Battle High School for the 2026-27 season. Qualified candidates will have at least 60 college credits, a Missouri substitute teaching certificate, and a Sport First Aid Course.

Qualifications

• Must have 60 hours of college credit and Missouri Substitute teaching certificate.
• Sport First Aid Course is required for coaching staff.
• If hired via a substitute certificate, NFICEP coaching education must be completed.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree and Missouri teaching certificate; prior coaching experience.

Responsabilités

• Assist with maintaining the girls basketball program.
• Maintain positive communication with patrons and parents of athletes and potential athletes.
• Assist with coordinating off-season camps and conditioning programs.
• Encourage good sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the sport.
• Collaborate with other coaches to ensure a comprehensive approach to athletes.
• Ensure compliance with MSHSAA.
• Maintain statistics on all players.
• Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Columbia Public Schools.
