Job summary

EHRET HIGH in Marrero, Louisiana seeks an Assistant Coach for Girls' Basketball to support the head coach in developing and organizing the basketball program. The role includes leadership among players, and ensuring compliance with district, parish, and state rules.

The coach will work after school hours and may include weekends and holidays as staffing and team needs require. A valid Louisiana teaching certificate and CDL Class B are required, with strong communication and reporting

Qualifications

• Must communicate in Standard English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to accurately convey information via telecommunication and interact with students, parents and staff.
• Represent the school to media and at events with professionalism.
• Must follow JPPSS policies and LHSAA rules in all basketball activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in development and organization of the basketball program.
• Maintain equipment inventory and distribution; ensure facilities are prepared.
• Support supervision of student athletes and promote sportsmanship.
• Comply with district, school, and league rules and reporting requirements.
