Job summary

Bethanyswine is seeking a Gilt Developer Unit (GDU) Lead responsible for overseeing the development and health of replacement gilts. You will manage the daily operations, supervise staff, and implement protocols for gilt selection and health management.

Strong leadership skills and knowledge of breeding are essential. The position requires hands-on animal handling, effective communication, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment while ensuring compliance with animal welfare

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in swine production, preferably with gilt development.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Familiarity with swine industry regulations and biosecurity protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily care, feeding, and health of developing gilts.
• Implement and monitor gilt selection criteria.
