Juneau School District is seeking an Elementary School Teacher to join our Teaching & Learning team districtwide. This full-time 1.0 FTE position requires an Alaska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement and a commitment to supporting gifted and talented students.

The successful candidate will collaborate with classroom teachers, develop student learning plans, identify gifted students, and coordinate school activities such as spelling and geography bees, while building strong

Qualifications

• Alaska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in education.
• Six semester education credits in extended learning (gifted/talented).

Responsibilities

• Identify gifted students and develop learning plans.
• Collaborate with regular classroom teachers to differentiate curricula.
• Coordinate spelling bee and geography bee.
• Build relationships with students, staff and families.
