Job summary

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina PA or NP license needed.
• Graduate from an accredited PA or NP program is required.
• NCCPA certification (PA) or board certification (NP) required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with GI conditions.
• Perform patient assessments including medical history and physical exams.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Skills

Active North Carolina PA or NP license

Current BLS certification

GI experience preferred

Experience in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine

ACLS certification

Education

Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program

NCCPA certification or board certification (NP)

What You’ll Do:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic GI conditions.
• Perform patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Educate patients on GI health, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Provide follow-up care and ensure continuity between visits.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical review activities.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active North Carolina PA or NP license
• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
• NCCPA certification (PA) or board certification (NP)
• Current BLS certification
• GI experience preferred—but not required.

Preferred:

• Experience in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine
• ACLS certification
