Job summary

Prisma Health in Columbia, SC, seeks BC/BE Gastroenterologists to join a growing GI team. The role emphasizes outpatient care with procedures on a hospital campus or ambulatory center, including colonoscopy, EGD, video capsule endoscopy and pH Bravo placement.

Academic rank with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine is available and commensurate with experience. EPIC EMR/Provation reporting are used to document care.

• Board-certified/board-eligible gastroenterologist.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient duties with endoscopic procedures on campus or ambulatory center.
• Perform colonoscopy, EGD, video capsule endoscopy and pH testing.
• On-call split evenly among providers.
• Collaborate with transplant hepatologists, IBD specialist and APPs.
• EMR-based reporting using EPIC and Provation.

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a BC/BE Gastroenterologists to join a growing team of 5 physicians (8 physicians by end July) to provide general GI services to a diverse community of patients. Subspecialty interests including advanced endoscopy, motility, and nutrition are welcome, but not required.

Details:

• Join a team of physicians, including transplant hepatologists, an IBD specialist, an advanced endoscopist, and multiple Advanced Practice Practitioners.
• Provide comprehensive care in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology including, but not limited to, general GI services such as colonoscopy, EGD, video capsule endoscopy, pH Bravo placement.
• Duties are primarily outpatient, including outpatient procedures on a hospital campus or in our newly opened Ambulatory Surgical Center
• On call split evenly among providers
• Academic rank with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine is available and commensurate with experience.
