Inova Schar Cancer Institute is seeking an Oncology Nurse Navigator for its GI Oncology program in the Fairfax area. This full-time, day shift position supports patients from diagnosis through survivorship, coordinating care across teams and facilities within Inova Health System.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, education and resource navigation to ensure optimal outcomes. BLS and Virginia RN licensure are required, with oncology certification within 2 years of hire.

Qualificações

• Basic Life Support certification (BLS)
• Oncology certification within 2 years of hire
• Licensed in Virginia as a Registered Nurse
• 3 years progressive nursing experience with primary care management

Responsabilidades

• Advocate for patient rights and coordinate services across care teams.
• Promote community outreach and education related to GI oncology.
• Assess patient needs and develop case management plans with the patient and support system.
• Coordinate care plans and assist with referrals and scheduling.
• Document pretesting, plans, consent, orders and outcomes as required.
