Job summary

City of Hope in Irvine, CA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the GI Medical Oncology team. You will provide independent medical management under supervision, focusing on GI malignancies as part of a multidisciplinary cancer care program.

You will collaborate with GI medical oncologists, manage treatment-related toxicities, participate in clinical trials, and lead education for patients and families while pursuing ongoing professional development in GI oncology.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral NP degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience; GI/medical oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent medical management for GI oncology patients in collaboration with GI medical oncologists.
• Perform physical examinations, diagnose, and manage medical needs including toxicities and disease symptoms.
• Support patients through systemic therapy (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy) and monitor response.
• Participate in clinical trials and work with research teams to deliver investigational treatments.
• Practice at the top of NP licensure and follow GI oncology NP protocols and procedures.
