Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
• Active and unrestricted NP license.
• DEA license required.
• CPR certification (BCLS/BLS) required.
• Preferred experience in GI (training available).
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide gastroenterology consults for residents in skilled nursing facilities.
• Evaluate and manage GI conditions such as GERD, GI bleeding, and liver disease.
• Conduct comprehensive GI-focused evaluations.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging studies.
• Manage medications and nutritional recommendations for GI conditions.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on diet and symptom management.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
