Job summary

Bethany Medical is seeking a GI CMA/RMA to join our high‑performing GI team at our High Point, NC location. This full‑time role involves patient interviews, vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and EMR documentation, supporting providers to deliver high‑quality care.

A+ clinical skills, teamwork, and adaptability are essential across multiple practice sites in the Triad area. The ideal candidate will have CMA/RMA certification (or earn within 6 months) and 1+ year experience in family

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant with hands-on clinical skills and patient interaction.
• Certification in CMA, RMA, NCMA, or ABR-OE within 6 months if not obtained yet.
• Experience in family practice, neurology, pain management, or internal medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient interviews and measure vital signs.
• Phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs as part of routine visits.
• Spirometry, specimen collection, and immunization administration.
• Data collection and entry into EMR; maintain accurate charts.
• Prepare treatment rooms and support providers to ensure quality care.
• Collaborate with staff and communicate effectively; maintain competency.

Bethany Medical, an established Independent Multi‑Specialty Practice located in Greensboro, High Point, Winston‑Salem, Jamestown, Kernersville, North Wilkesboro, and Mt. Airy.

The GI CMA/RMA will be an extremely motivated individual who performs patient interviews, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), performs phlebotomy, administers injections, performs EKGs, and records information in patients' charts. The Medical Assistant prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations. The Medical Assistant will also work closely with our Providers and fellow staff members to ensure quality patient care and satisfaction. This position will be in our High Point, NC, location and is available Full‑Time.

Required Licenses/Certifications for GI Medical Assistant:

One of the following certifications is required (or must be obtained within 6 months of hire):

• CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants)
• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists)
• NCMA- National Certified Medical Association (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
• ABR-OE- Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants)

• 1 + years of experience in Family Practice, Neurology, Pain Management, and Internal Medicine is preferred.
• Multilingual is a Plus!
