Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Gastroenterology (GI) Hospitalist to join our expanding GI practice at Luminis Health - Luminis Health Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland. This is a 100% inpatient GI hospitalist position with daily rounds, inpatient consults, and endoscopic procedures.

Ideal candidates are board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology with an MD or equivalent degree and completion of an ACGME-accredited GI fellowship.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited GI fellowship program.
• MD or equivalent degree; eligible for medical licensure in Maryland.
• Comfort with inpatient endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy).
• Strong clinical and communication skills and commitment to evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounding and inpatient consults at a single hospital site.
• Perform upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures as part of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary digestive health team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Inpatient GI Hospitalist to provide expert care in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Position Highlights:

• 100% inpatient focus at a single hospital site-no outpatient clinic responsibilities

• Daily rounding, inpatient consults, and endoscopic procedures (upper/lower GI)

• Collaborative environment with access to advanced GI services and surgical support

• Work alongside a multidisciplinary digestive health team in a state-of-the-art facility

Qualifications:

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited GI fellowship program

• MD or equivalent degree; eligible for medical licensure in the state of Maryland

• Comfort with inpatient endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy); advanced endoscopy experience welcomed but not required

• Strong clinical and communication skills, with a commitment to evidence-based care
