Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, is hiring an Advanced Practice Specialty Nurse – GI to join the GI Clinic UHTMC. The role focuses on delivering advanced GI care in collaboration with gastroenterologists and a dynamic care team.

You will assess, diagnose, treat, and follow patients, and may assist in GI procedures under physician supervision. A strong GI interest and leadership in a team are valued.

Qualifications

• MSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in Missouri.
• Nurse Practitioner certification (ANCC, AANP).
• Missouri certification for Advanced Practice (if required).
• Current Collaborative Practice Agreement.
• BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Be a clinical leader in GI care across inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with physicians to create and carry out treatment plans.
• Perform assessments, order diagnostics, and initiate interventions.
• Assist with or perform GI procedures under supervision.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Help elevate the standard of GI care within the organization.
