The GHS Environmental Action Club Advisor plays a crucial role in fostering environmental consciousness and initiatives within the school and local community.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Club Leadership
    • Facilitating weekly club meetings
    • Guiding students in developing climate-oriented proposals and initiatives
  • School Environmental Programs
    • Overseeing the GHS composting program
    • Coordinating school-wide Earth Week activities
    • Supporting the Project Green Challenge
  • Community Engagement
    • Collaborating with local organizations (e.g., Zero-Waste Committee, PTAC Environmental Committee, Greenwich Green and Clean)
    • Attending community meetings, often outside school hours
  • Service Learning
    • Assisting club members in organizing environmental service projects for GHS students
    • Supervising service events, frequently outside school hours
  • Environmental Culture
    • Working to cultivate a school-wide culture of environmental responsibility
Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to Greenwich High School staff, then to other Greenwich Public Schools staff
