Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a staff psychologist to serve within the Eastern Colorado Health Care System, providing geropsychology services at Pueblo facilities.

You will work with Home Based Primary Care, Pueblo GeriPACT, and Pueblo Community Living Center, delivering interventions to support aging Veterans. You will assess, treat, and educate Veterans and care partners, collaborate with medical teams, and participate in program development and outcomes measurement.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: United States citizenship required.
• Education: doctoral degree in psychology from APA/PCSAS/CPA accredited program or equivalent re-specialization pathway.
• Internship: APA/CPA accredited internship or board certification in a relevant specialty.
• Licensing: if not licensed, must practice under licensed supervision with appropriate oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of psychological services to Veterans at Eastern Colorado Health Care System.
• Conduct psychological and cognitive assessments and diagnose mental disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community providers; coordinate care and ensure HIPAA compliance.
