Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC Glendale, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for Geropsych on a per diem 12-hour variable shift within the union. You will support the Chief Nursing Officer, lead the care team, and ensure safe, quality patient care while complying with regulations.

Licensure and certifications are required, with BSN preferred and experience in ortho/stroke valued. Rate ranges from $47.58 to $76.68 per hour; per diem roles offer flexibility and critical care involvement in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• Graduation from Registered Nurse Program.
• BSN preferred or will obtain within 5 years.
• 1 year clinical experience in acute care preferred; ortho/stroke experience preferred.
• Two years’ Orthopedic and Medical-Surgical nursing preferred.
• Active California RN license; various certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist charge nurse with planning delivery of patient care for the shift.
• Precepting and competency validating new hires and procedures.
• Teaching nursing students and coordinating team communications.
• Maintain patient safety, advocate for patients, and ensure quality care.
