Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, Ohio, invites board-certified or board-eligible geriatricians to join a team of 5 physicians and 12 advanced practice providers. The opportunity combines outpatient geriatric assessment with inpatient consults at our Akron and Barberton campuses, with flexibility for full- or part-time schedules.

The successful candidate will contribute to Summa's Complex Care Institute, participate in education of medical students and residents, and work within an academic model of care

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Geriatric Medicine
• Unrestricted Ohio License or willingness to obtain
• Commitment to quality care in a patient centered, team-based environment

Responsibilities

• Mix of outpatient Geriatric assessment and inpatient consults at Akron and Barberton campuses
• Collaborate with geriatric nurse practitioners at every site of care
• Active involvement in medical student, resident and fellow education
• Summa Health offers an academic model of care in a community teaching hospital environment
