Job summary

Carle Health in Urbana, Illinois seeks a BE/BC Geriatrician to join our ambulatory clinic alongside five geriatricians and a full nursing staff. Primary duties include nursing home coverage and outpatient care, with a planned Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule.

There is potential for medical directorship and collaboration with Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Hospital practice is optional; there are no home visits required.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine required.
• BE/BC in Geriatrics.
• Experience with nursing home coverage and ambulatory clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing home coverage and ambulatory clinic duties.
• On-call coverage for nursing home patients during the week; 1 in 12 weekend/weekday.
• Academic and/or research affiliation with Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
• Opportunity for medical directorship and long-term care at a local nursing home.
• Clinic schedule Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
