Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university.

• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPAA and Federal Residents Rights.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients and provide direct care under physician direction.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with goals based on patient capacity and tolerance.
• Document patient condition and educate patients and families in therapy methods.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to formulate facility-wide programming, policies, audits, and processes.
