The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Geriatric Section Head to lead the Division of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics & Palliative Care. You will shape system-wide strategy for clinical care, education, and research for older adults across settings, and mentor the next generation of physicians.

Ideal candidates are BC/BE Internal Medicine or FM with geriatrics fellowship, eligible for SC licensure, and demonstrated leadership in academia or teaching.

Qualifications

• BC/BE Internal Medicine or FM physician with geriatric training.
• Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure.
• Demonstrated leadership in academics, teaching, or research.

Responsibilities

• Direct the vision for geriatric care across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care and home settings.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows and junior faculty.
• Collaborate on research and potential dual appointment with the Charleston VA.
• Tailor clinical schedule to align with interests.
