Job summary

Majestic Care Sheridan is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our care team and support residents\' mobility, pain reduction, and independence under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

You will implement individualized treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure resident-centered care in a geriatric setting. Qualified candidates have an associate degree and PTA licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA program required.
• Current PTA state licensure required.
• 1–2 years of geriatric/ SNF experience preferred.
• Familiarity with PDPM and SNF therapy documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy interventions per supervising PT's treatment plan.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training and functional mobility.
• Monitor resident responses and communicate progress or changes to the PT.
• Educate residents and families under PT direction for carryover of therapy strategies.
• Maintain a safe, engaging therapy environment and participate in care planning with the team.
• Accurately document sessions and ensure HIPAA compliance.
