Job summary

NYNJ Psychiatric Associates in New Jersey is seeking a PMHNP to conduct initial evaluations and follow-up visits at facilities we serve, focusing on depression, anxiety, cognitive disorders, and dementia with behavioral issues.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care physicians, other NPs/PAs, psychology, nursing, and families, with strong clinical and administrative support to streamline patient care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted New Jersey NP License
• PMHNP certification required based on state
• Experience or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry, long-term care, or consult-liaison psychiatry
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Effective oral and written communication in English
• Proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to regulatory compliance
• Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes
• Ability to move between patient rooms and offices within the facility
• Full vaccination and booster status may be required in some facilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations and follow-up visits onsite at facilities

• Provide geriatric psychiatry care and medication management
• Maintain efficient documentation and compliant records using EHR
