Job summary

NYNJ Psychiatric Associates is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide medication management and supportive psychotherapy in assisted living and long-term care settings across NY & NJ. You will perform initial evaluations and follow-up visits onsite, collaborating closely with two psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, and facility staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role offers strong clinical support, flexible hours, and opportunities for autonomy with senior staff

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted New Jersey NP license and PMHNP certification.
• Experience or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry and long-term care.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.
• Comfort providing in-person services at facilities and managing documentation.
• Proficient with clinical technology and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations and follow-up visits onsite at facilities.
• Provide medication management and supportive psychotherapy for common geriatric conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychology, nursing and facility staff on cases.
• Assist with efficient documentation and regulatory compliance.
