Job summary

Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse–Psychiatric to provide direct and indirect patient care in a behavioral health setting, coordinating treatment plans and promoting safety.

The role requires ADN; BSN is preferred; you must hold an RN license in the state or a compact state, with BLS and HWC/CPI certifications required and ACLS preferred. Six months of BH/psychiatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in state of practice or Compact State.
• BLS certification required within facility policy.
• Handle With Care (HWC) or CPI certification required within facility policy.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs psychiatric assessments and formulates individualized care plans.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, including psychotropics.
• Coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary team and supports discharge planning.
• Provides patient and family education related to treatment plans, medications, and coping strategies.
• Documents all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Engages in crisis intervention and behavioral de-escalation as needed.
