Job summary

The MedServ Group is seeking a licensed Optometrist to join our rapidly growing medical practice, serving residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose ocular disease, prescribe lenses or medications, and provide perioperative care.

This part-time role offers scheduling Monday-Friday, typically 9:00AM-5:00PM, with flexibility. Compensation can be per patient or a share of collections, targeting engagement with elderly patients.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and active state license.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics.
• Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive eye exams.
• Diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular disease.
• Prescribing corrective lenses or eye medications as needed.
