Job summary

Ft Washington Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a Geriatric Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care to older adults, assist with daily living tasks, and support clinical procedures in a geriatric care setting.

This full-time position includes training on electronic health records, HIPAA-compliant documentation, and a shuttle service from Livingston Rd & Fort Washington Rd bus stops.

Qualifications

Duties

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
• Monitor vital signs, document medical information accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems, and report any changes in patient condition promptly.
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Assist with clinical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices within acute or long-term care environments.

Requirements

• Valid Geriatric Nurses Assistant license (GNA)
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting patients with Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility while maintaining proper body mechanics.
• Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate attitude toward individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
