Interim HealthCare of Bowie, MD is seeking dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNA) to join our team for facility assignments near Bowie. Shifts available: Morning, Afternoon, and Overnight with differential pay for evenings and overnights.

As a GNA, you’ll provide personal care, assist with daily activities, help with mobility, and monitor client well-being. We value compassion, clear communication, and reliability, and offer a supportive team and flexible opportunities.

Qualificações

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Maryland GNA licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years GNA experience.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Flu vaccination
• COVID vaccination
• Recent physical exam.
• TB/PPD/CHEST XRAY with negative screening.
• Compassionate nature and good communication.

Responsabilidades

• Provide personal care and hygiene for clients.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating and nutrition.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Observe clients and notify supervisor of changes in care or equipment.

• Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Personal care and hygiene needs of the client
• Help with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and nutritional intake
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• Observe client and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or equipment

A few must-haves for Geriatric Nursing Assistants:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Maryland Nursing Assistant licensure | GNA license
• Minimum of 2 year GNA experience
• CPR BLS certification
• FLU vaccination
• COVID Vaccination
• Recent physical exam
• TB/PPD/CHEST XRAY and a negative symptom screening
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
