Job summary

Direct Home Nurturing Llc in Maryland is seeking a Geriatric Nurse to care for our aging patients, administer medications, and follow care orders laid out by the team of doctors. You will work closely with other nurses and aides, make rounds with physicians as needed, and provide a supportive, compassionate presence.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Geriatric Nurse to join our team! As a Geriatric Nurse, you will spend your time caring for our aging patients, administering medication, and following care orders laid out by the team of doctors. You will also work closely with other nurses and nurses aids offering support and guidance, make rounds with doctors as needed, and be a supportive, helpful presence to our patients. The ideal candidate has experience working with an older population, has all the required licensing in the state, and works well independently as well as within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds to check on each patient assigned, assessing current wellbeing and making notes on issues as needed


• Administer prescribed medications as directed


• Make rounds with physicians as needed, offering personal experience with the patient and taking care notes


• Assisting other nurses or nurses aids as needed to keep the shift moving and provide excellent care


• Being a positive, supportive presence to our aging patients

Qualifications
