Job summary

The MedElite Group in Hempstead, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Neuro Technician to support neurological diagnostic testing and clinical services in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. You will prepare patients for EEGs and neurodiagnostic tests, perform testing per established protocols, monitor patients during procedures, and document results in the medical record.

This 1099 role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to travel to partner

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or neurodiagnostic training preferred.
Certification as EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technician preferred.
Experience in neurodiagnostic testing and geriatric settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for neurological diagnostic procedures, including EEGs and other tests.
Perform neurodiagnostic testing per established protocols and safety standards.
Monitor patients during procedures and report findings to the supervising clinician.
Document test results and patient responses in the medical record.
Maintain infection control and HIPAA compliance.
Explain procedures clearly to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to support patient care.
Travel to partner skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned.
