Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management is seeking a Culinary Service Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, guests, and staff, with direction from the Culinary Services Director and coordination with the care team. The cook supports therapeutic diet orders, upholds food service standards, and ensures meals meet residents’ desires while preserving dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have a desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents and understand their special needs.
• Must qualify for employment, after criminal background study, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, serve, and be responsible for meals for residents, guests, and employees.
• Follow directions from the Culinary Services Director and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Promote food service standards through cost, quality and quantity controls.
• Provide meals that meet residents' desires and preserve personal dignity.
