Job summary

St. Peter’s Health Partners - Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker for per-diem rotating shifts. The role focuses on preparing scratch-made meals with seasonal, local ingredients and maintaining high food-safety standards.

The position emphasizes flexible scheduling, ongoing training, and career growth within a caregiving environment. Ideal candidates have food service and customer service experience, with the ability to read and write English at a minimum

Qualifications

• Food service experience preferred.
• Reading and writing English at 6th grade level or higher.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cleaning and sanitation of the food service area, including dishwashing, sweeping and mopping.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portions and proper temperatures.
• Follow HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Store foods per designated areas per procedures.
• Collaborate with coworkers, residents, and supervisors to maintain quality service.
• Work safely and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Adhere to SPHP's code of conduct.
