Job summary

NewCourtland in Philadelphia is seeking a Registered Dietitian to lead medical nutrition therapy across the facility, coordinate dietary services and support residents and families.

You will assess nutritional needs, develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team, and document progress in resident records. This role also involves survey readiness and collaboration with the administrator to ensure quality of care.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in a relevant field.
• Current active RD registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• At least 1 year of professional food service experience in an institutional health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Implement, coordinate and evaluate medical nutrition therapy for residents.
• Complete and update dietary assessments as part of resident assessments.
• Interview residents and families to develop individualized dietary plans.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement and evaluate care plans.
• Record progress notes and monitor responses to dietary interventions.
• Communicate with the Nursing Home Administrator about care, personnel and budget.
• Participate in long-term care survey readiness and documentation.
