Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 6 months full-time experience as a nursing assistant in a long-term geriatric setting.
• Licensed Nursing Assistant certification is required.
• Must communicate effectively in English with residents, family and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care according to established policies and procedures.
• Document resident needs and conditions; supervise non-licensed personnel as needed.
• Observe resident conditions and communicate changes to charge nurse or RN.
• Assist with admission, orientation, discharge and transfers of residents.
