Job summary

CareOne at Lexington, MA is seeking a Full-Time Recreation Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life through scheduled activities in a geriatric setting.

You will plan and lead group and individual activities, coordinating with care staff to support resident well‑being and engagement. This role supports activity care plans and resident assessments.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; evening/weekend availability and prior long‑term care recreation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings/weekends.
• Previous experience in a Recreation/Activities position in long term care preferred.
• Previous experience with dementia activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, and assist with the activity programs of this facility.
• Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.
